Additional training is available and encouraged from the FEMA Independent Study Program. It is free, easy to do and available for self-study on-line 24 hours a day (link below). We want CERT members to get as much training as they can.

In particular we encourage our members to complete at a minimum, the courses listed below.  In addition, we foster the practice of setting a good example by having a 24 hour Disaster Go-Kit in each of your vehicles and a  3-day or more supply of food, water and support items for you, your family and your pets.
